Summertime Play

Play Torbay is thrilled to launch Summertime Play for the #SummerOfPlay Campaign, by enabling all children, in Torbay, to have space and time for play this summer by supporting fun, friends, and freedom. 

We will be running play sessions throughout August 2021 at:

• The Acorn Centre

• Fort Apache Adventure Playground

• Wild Fox, Adventure Playground

• Indigos Go Wild Adventure Playground

All sessions will run between 10.30 and 2.30pm for young people 5 – 16 years. Lunch is provided too

All the sessions will be FREE but booking is essential. To book please complete a registration form.

Each of the four weeks have a different theme:

• Week 1 Summer

  Chances to have a go on a water slide, fly a kite, make a

  fruit kebab and paint a pebble

• Week 2 Harry Potter  

  Chances to take part in a HP challenge, make a screaming

  hairy mandrake, a pinecone owl and have a go at the Harry Potter sorting hat game

• Week 3 Eco Play

  Chances to cook banana energy flat breads on the campfire, create your own lolly stick picture frame and meet the Art and Energy Collective with an opportunity to take part in their Moths

• Week 4 Bush Craft Play

  Chances to create your own den, cook dampers on the fire, modelling with clay and make seed bombs to go guerrilla gardening to a Flame project to protect our planet as part of COP26 in Glasgow later this year
